Naples seafront what to see
The Naples Seafront, Partenope Street, Caracciolo Street, Castel dell’Ovo with its splendid Seaside Village, the panorama of Vesuvius with the Posillipo Hill and Capri, are indescribable beauties in words, perhaps the reason why someone said “See Naples and then die … “is its splendid view of the sea. The one on the seafront is certainly one of the most fascinating walks in Naples Italy and there are many citizens and tourists who include it among the obligatory stops in the city, even for the events and manifestations of all kinds that are often organized.

About 3 km long, it extends from Mergellina to the Santa Lucia District, passing through the famous Caracciolo Street and the lively Partenope Street. It offers one of the most beautiful views in the world because it allows you to admire the imposing Vesuvius, the Castel dell’Ovo on the islet of Megaride, the island of Capri and the Posillipo Hill. In part it runs along the Municipal Villa, a green space that reaches up to Vittoria Square, with the Vomero Hill in the background. On Partenope Street it is possible to stop for a drink or a pizza by choosing from the many clubs, bars, restaurants and pizzerias that animate the street, while on the Mergellina side there are numerous chalets. Behind the castle, however, there is the Seaside Village with its characteristic fish restaurants and small bars.

Until the end of the 19th century, the Naples Italy seafront did not exist, and the sea bathed the city as far as the Riviera di Chiaia (on the other side of the Municipal Villa). In place of the cliff and the road there was a beach very popular with Neapolitans. That is why, when the sand was replaced by asphalt and rocks, the inhabitants of the city continued to seek a link with the sea, spending the days of the weekend walking along Caracciolo and Partenope Street. Recently made pedestrian and closed to car traffic in the points of greatest pedestrian flow, and it is now one of the most fascinating and romantic locations in Naples Italy, considered by many to be “the most beautiful promenade in the world”. which has nothing to envy to the promenades of other international cities. If you are planning your holiday to visit Naples Italy, visit the Naples Seafront is one of the things to do.
